Sakhi - A Good Cause

A Success That Inspired a Bigger Purpose

The journey of Chatkazz has always been about bringing people together over the love of authentic Indian food. What began as a passion for Indian flavours grew into a successful restaurant brand in Australia, loved by families and food lovers alike.

Chatkazz is all about community, connection, and making a meaningful impact. Chatkazz is associated with Paryavaran Mitra and Manav Sadhna, two charities committed to caring for underprivileged communities in India.

The founders of Chatkazz Australia were deeply inspired by their work, which sparked a thought, and they decided to create opportunities and empower underprivileged girls and women. This initiative became the foundation of Sakhi.

Sakhi: A restaurant in India introduced with a good cause where women could build a future of their own.

Sakhi — Street Food & More….Flavourful Empowerment

Sakhi was established in India with a purpose that goes beyond food. Its mission is to support underprivileged women by providing them with employment, skills, confidence, and an opportunity to become financially independent.

Instead of simply opening a restaurant, the founders wanted to create a space where women could learn, work, interact, and take pride in their own abilities.

That is why women are at the heart of Sakhi — not only behind the scenes, but also at the front of the restaurant, welcoming guests, interacting with them, and serving food.

Because empowerment is not just about giving someone a job. It is about giving someone the confidence to create a life of their own.

While Chatkazz and Sakhi have their own identities, they share the same foundation — a love for Indian food, warm hospitality, and bringing people together.

The flavours that made Chatkazz successful continue their journey at Sakhi, where a range of Indian dishes is served with the same passion and care.

But Sakhi adds something more to every plate:

A story of opportunity.
A story of courage.
A story of women becoming independent.

Every guest who walks into Sakhi is not simply enjoying a meal. They are also becoming a small part of a larger purpose.

A place where food meets purpose, and every woman gets an opportunity to rise.
